Dia de Muertos is an indigenous ritual which the souls of the deceased make a transitory return home, to the world of the living, to live with relatives and to be nourished by the essence of the food and enjoy the physical items offered to them on the altars.  The souls visit us on November 1st or “Dia de Los Angelitos” (all saints day) and On November 2nd or “Dia de Muertos” (all souls day).

The history of Dia de Muertos, as we know it today, is very intricate and involves many different parts of the world, many cultures, and thousands of years. Please enjoy the video in our History Room for a better explanation. We have two screens on opposite sides displaying the presentation.
